Emgineer Assistant Masthead Welcome to the "Engineering Assistant"...
This new technical service for engineers, independent researchers, and students performs a variety of calculations and conversions as well as displays various tables.

For quick navigation, use the "ASSISTANT DIRECTORY" in the "HeadsUp Frame" above. A frameless table will appear with a list of scripts currently available. Simply click on the program you wish to use and it will bring up the appropriate area on this page. Then click on the main page to bring the function into focus. The "directory" will hide behind the main page ready to go into action. It will automatically close when you exit the "Engineering Assistant"

email9c.gif Do you have a problem or special request... Everyone using this page should realize that there is plenty of room for improvements and upgrades. If you have a problem using it... or if there is a particular conversion, chart or table you need... please let us know using the "email" link. We will do our best to either locate the script or write it ourselves.

This new technical service destined for the SkunkWorks is in its early developmental stages... We decided to use this as a "beta" site for it as it allows non-SkunkWork Members to use a handy program while giving us a chance to work the bugs out. . For the foreseeable future, anticipate a number of changes and updates while we work on this project. We are experimenting with a lot of new commands and unique concepts on a server using software that we don't have a clue about. Furthermore, I am teaching myself both ASP and Javascript programming.

So if you encounter any problems... send us a box of clues via the email command! ...or if you have any new ideas to improve this site, we are interested in your comments and opinions.

Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for helping us
...Webmaster Steve

Legend
Metals A solid substance that is a good conductor of heat and electricity. Can be formed into many shapes.
Metalloid "Middle elements" - conduct heat and electricity better than nonmetals, but not as well as metals. Easier to shape than nonmetals, but not as easy as metals. Solid at room temperature.
Nonmetals A poor conductor of heat and electricity. Not easily formed into shapes.
